Vines Grille & Wine Bar in Orlando, FL serves all-you-can-eat bacon strips. In fact, owners shell out about $60,000 a year just to keep the snacks coming. Since I don’t live in Orlando & I like bacon, I often times make this recipe for Super Bowl parties.
1 Pound, thick-sliced bacon Applewood smoked (Nueske’s if you can find it!)
1 tablespoon, low sodium soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon, Chinese five-spice powder
1 cup, light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon, red pepper flakes
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line rimmed baking sheet with foil. I prefer Reynold’s Non Stick
- Lay bacon on sheet in a single layer. Bake until they start to crisp, 12 to 14 minutes.
- Flip the bacon and top with seasonings, starting with soy sauce.
- Continue baking until browned all over, 12 to 16 minutes more minutes.
- Drain on paper towels.
